Description

Photographers' group in the golden hour of the morning, near San Quirico d'Orcia (SI), Toscana, Italy. (I was not with them. The valley was full of such groups :D )

There are many layers to this piece that I appreciate, the first being its originality as art representing artists. The composition suggests a very defined structure in the photograph, and the negative space it utilizes communicates a sense of huge space.

And the lighting in this image is skillfully used as well, showing us the shadows of the foreground, then the trees, and then the series of hills that follow it. This photograph reminds me of medieval artwork, where the subject in the "top" layer, i.e.. the photographers who are the darkest components, are at the front and the main subject.

Truly magnificent work!
