View from the Hill

Budapest (Hungary, Europe) from her highest point, the Elisabeth Lookout of the János-hegy (St. John Hill, 526 m asl). The lookout is named after our beloved Queen, Empress Elisabeth, Emperor Franz Joseph I's wife. About the center of this image you may recognize the Parliament and some other notable landmarks, too. In the distance you can see the horizon. The clouds are real, we had a rather wet and ever-changing weather with short but heavy showers and thunderstorms.

You may find interesting that it was shot hand-held in eight horizontal takes. It is result of the good amount of luck and the blind, sheer practice, that made it possible.

edit: I found the first version too dark on DA, and changed a lighter, colour-tuned one which is less yellow, and closer to the original colours.
