Osprey's WTF

Description

Migrating ospreys take a rest near Szeged by Fehér-tó for a week or two during their flight back home to the Baltic Region. By Szatymaz there is a meadow where bird lovers installed several artificial stakes as resting place for them and the ospreys happily accept them for feeding and preening and contemplating about the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. I had a chance to spend two mornings in hide around them and while the first morning they didn't give a shift (er... actually they did!) for being photographed, I was lucky on the second morning. Even with the luck and previous observations the bird that came closest to me was still pretty far to be shot with my 400 mm lens, therefore these shots are pixel level deep crops.

This is the osprey's "what the funk you're think you're doin' down there?" look as he noticed a glint on my lens... but stood.

Outrun is not humorous, but a must-see respectful commemoration by Basement-Aviator—and you may want to learn more about :icondalinksystem: if you don't know what is this for :D

This shot made me smile.  One question, why are there wires holding the branch up?
