Florence in a Nutshell - Size Comparison

Description

Florence is more than well photographed and it is really hard to produce any "original" thing there so I decided to present you a tongue-in-cheek mini-series. ;) (Wink)

Brunelleschi's definitely bigger and even wider than Giotto's. Perhaps Giotto's is more appealing, its appearance is slender and elegant, but Brunelleschi's is thick and bears the load really good! I speak of the architecture, of course. The Campanile is designed and supervised by Giotto, and almost two centuries later Brunelleschi made his "Capolavoro" with the cupola of the breathtaking church.

This image features works of other deviants, one is Giotto as as architecture of the Campanile and he died before the tower was ready. Brunelleschi and others built the dome and the dome of the dome (I mean the "cupola") but all of them died more than 100 years ago—so these works are expected to be in the Public Domain.

Please follow my practice, name the original authors and don't just say others' work as yours. I mean, don't use this image unlawfully.

A well-known view, but well captured, with some very lovely light effects.
