Florence in a Nutshell - David's Mantle

Description

Florence is more than well photographed and it is really hard to produce any "original" thing there so I decided to present you a tongue-in-cheek mini-series. This is Piazzale Michelangelo where the bronze copy of the famous David has a new mantle, flying epic in the wind. I don't think that either Michelangelo Buonarroti or Giuseppe Poggi (designer of the square) would have thought of this idea. ;)

This image features works of other deviants, one is Michelangelo as original sculptor of the marble statue, the other is unknown (for me), who cast the bronze copy, and Giuseppe Poggi, who constructed this marvellous and grand lookout. Michelangelo has died in 1564, Giuseppe Poggi in 1901, and the statue was erected on 25th June, 1873, therefore its sculptor must have died since then, at least 100 years ago—so these works are expected to be in the Public Domain.

Please follow my practice, name the original authors and don't just say others' work as yours. I mean, don't use this image unlawfully.
