Deviation Actions
As you may know I am admin in photography groups, and at PhotographyWorld we arranged a Challenge from March to May, THE INVISIBLE CHALLENGE. We announced this contest to find the best photographers solving the impossible. We asked you (and them) to take images of things nobody could see. They have to capture the look of never-seen and they DID IT!
Rules were simple but not that easy at all:
- The images had to be new, taken after the announcement of the Challenge.
- The images had to depict something that is unseen.
- The contesting images had to state their theme and bear the badge of our group that shows of their participation.

As a part of the prize we decided at PhotographyWorld to select from the winners' works and suggesting a Daily Deviation.
It is an additional prize that had to meet the terms and conditions of DDs. As stevenfields received one with his Challenge submission (big and heartful congratulations!!!) he is out of question. DD is available only in every six months... So I decided to promote Bluefie and her beautiful
Please support her and wish her to receive it!
You may also help (if this is not decided yet) to suggest this image separately to
Kaz-D or Mrs-Durden in a note with subject "DD suggestion" and due description why you think the image worthy.
Please be mindful, write your own reasons or don't suggest if you would do this by mere sympathy.
It's no good to annoy our community volunteers!
We were happy to see all the submissions—please take a look on them here: The Invisible Challenge - RUNNER UPS

Eye for AI?
As my elderly mother needs more and more care and time, and my young puppy, my first ever dog companion grows (she's 16 month old now) I have less and less time for my personal photography. I could bring the camera along when walking the dog but she pulls and gets bored easily, and neither of my cameras are lightweight enough to master them single handed. (Especially not my VDS 8×10", but even the Yashica TLR or the Leica-size mamiya sekor 528TL wants both my hands to operate; so is my digital Canon. "The Beast", Mamiya RB67 is out of question of course, that is really heavy for a dog walk! :D ) Therefore I take pictures with my phone when I walk but somehow I never feel those pictures as real images even if they come out really good. Not to mention that most of the images are about my lovely little furry girl and the nature we experience. She teaches me some new aspects of nature and I fell in love with the parts I live, discovering its miracles I just ran by previously. So this led
Thoughts about Bill Biggart
Bill Biggart is dead. Today is the 20th anniversary of his death. He was one of the thousands who were killed by the collapsing skyscrapers. Bill Biggart shouldn't have been there, but he was a kind of news junkie. He worked as a press photographer in N.Y. and as soon as he learned about the first attack against WTC he hurried home for his cameras and headed to the site. All his high end EOS 1 cameras were found ripped open by the debris but he had one more camera, that worked without film. Yes, it was digital, one of the earliest DSLR-s that were something futuristic. The little and rudimentary but expensive EOS D30 was smashed, too, but its CF card was something promising. Biggart's widow gave it to his friend and colleague, Chip East who could rescue some images from the beaten card. Respecting Biggart's and Estate of Bill Biggart's rights I won't put any sample here but a link to the Estate's memorial page. Perhaps it is a due act of honor and respect for him and also for
Resonating Pixels
Unfortunately we hadn't enough time to do decent features since ages. Neither now—but I collected some of the images from 2018 and paired them to create something like talking pictures. As if they were talking to each other, to emphasize, expand, explain or reflect each other.
I intentionally left out DD awarded images (as far as I know) so I can state that these are not all the best photos. They are in the top but there are many comparable or sometimes even better pics in our 2018 gallery. Please yourself to discover the others, it is worth the time! And take your time to scroll all the way down, because I placed the bests of the best
